Cath Lab Nurse
Cath Lab Nurses work in cardiac catheterization laboratories, assisting cardiologists and other medical professionals in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. Their primary responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, monitoring vital signs during procedures, and providing post-procedure care. Cath Lab Nurses must have strong communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a thorough understanding of cardiovascular procedures. They typically require a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a current RN license. Certification in BLS and ACLS is often required.
