Electrophysiology Lab Nurse

Electrophysiology Lab Nurses work in electrophysiology laboratories, assisting cardiologists and other medical professionals in diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders. Their primary responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, monitoring vital signs during procedures, and providing post-procedure care. Electrophysiology Lab Nurses must have strong communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have a thorough understanding of electrophysiology procedures. They typically require a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a current RN license. Certification in BLS and ACLS is often required.

General Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field

  • Current RN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Experience in electrophysiology lab
