Radiology Technologist

Radiology Technologists, also known as Radiologic Technologists, are responsible for producing diagnostic images of the body using various imaging technologies such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans. They work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. Radiology Technologists must have a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology to ensure accurate imaging. The job requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and a strong attention to detail. Radiology Technologists must also be able to work effectively in a team environment and be able to manage their time efficiently. They typically work in hospitals, imaging centers, or private practices. The job requires a minimum of an associate's degree in radiologic technology and a certification in radiology.

General Requirements

Radiology technologists typically have an associate's or bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or a related field, and they must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or another recognized certifying agency.

Radiology Technologist Task & Duties

Radiology technologists perform a variety of duties, including:
