Laboratory Jobs

Laboratory Jobs involve working in various laboratory settings, performing tests and procedures to diagnose and treat medical conditions. To become a laboratory technician, you typically need:

Completion of a training program approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
Passing the Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (CMLT) or Registered Medical Laboratory Technician (RMLT) exam
State-specific certifications or licenses may be required

Laboratory technicians perform the following duties:

Perform laboratory tests such as blood tests and urinalyses
Analyze samples and report test results
Assist pathologists and other medical professionals in developing treatment plans
Monitor patients' vital signs during testing
Restock supplies and equipment as needed
